»(–Norm)Form«
Das obskure
Objekt
der Begierde

Obscurity, an interplay of the individual and the object – is it the thing that „exists“ as obscure, or is it the viewer who attributes to it? Who or what is the authority in interpreting things? An exciting question regarding the conception of reality in which we move – in which each individual creates his or her own reality - projecting the inside onto the environment.

We create objects based on archetypes of departed days, which pour themselves into collectively understanstood shapes of the „experienced and learned“ – unconsciously following our conceptions, without ever indicating or questioning what lies behind them. The world is made up of quotes whose authors nobody knows. But what is the obscure and how does it relate to desire?

The everyday is "normal", thus it corresponds to a cultural norm – a scenario in which the “sensually recognizable" reflects the „rationally intelligible": consistency – the state which rests in itself and therefore lacks excitement inherently. It requires an irritation that frees a situation or object from normality to arouse interest and excite the mind , sending the counterpart on a mental exploration in what is believed to be known. This attribute of tension is inherent to the obscure; the obscure becomes normality without irritation. All of this builds the basis for desire: the new, the unknown, the expectation, the calling, and finally the spiritual satisfaction. All is found in the resulting objects through an interpretation game of standardized and normed signs.
